Founder & Director
Richard established Ferris Financial Planning after spending over 25 years working with Ulster Bank across Ireland, where he helped individuals and families with pensions, investments, and insurance across a range of life stages.
After decades of sitting with clients and hearing the same frustration, “I’ve no idea what I have or where to start”, he created The Drawer to simplify the process and give people real clarity around their financial position.
Richard is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA) with a deep understanding of the Irish financial system, a calming presence, and a strong belief that financial advice should be personal, practical, and pressure-free.
Office Manager
Elaine brings over two decades of leadership and frontline experience in Irish financial services to her role at Ferris Financial Planning. At The Drawer, Elaine is the engine behind the process, coordinating admin, overseeing client experience, and making sure everything runs on time, with accuracy and warmth.
Before joining the team, Elaine spent over 20 years with Ulster Bank, where she held senior leadership roles including Branch Manager, Area Manager (overseeing 14 branches and 100+ staff), and Regional Training Specialist.
Elaine holds a Diploma in Banking and Financial Support Services from University College Dublin and is a Qualified Financial Adviser.
